It is my pleasure to welcome you back to the 2025-2026 school year! I am excited to have everyone back for another great year at Villarreal Elementary! In just a few short days, our classrooms and hallways will be filled with the energy and enthusiasm of students learning. It is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, connected, and a part of our amazing school family. Additionally, we will strive to challenge every student to grow in their academic abilities through instruction, interventions, and extra-curricular activities.
Keep the following dates in mind as you plan for your child's return to school:
Thursday – August 14th School Supply Drop off
4:00 – 5:00 pm
To help reduce first-day anxieties and minimize confusion about classroom locations, we will host a brief school supply drop-off on Thursday, August 14, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Since teachers have not had an opportunity to finish setting up their classrooms, we are not yet opening our classrooms to visitors. Teachers will be receiving supplies at their doors and briefly greeting students.
Monday, August 18 First Day of School
Breakfast 7:45 – 8:00
By district mandate, uniforms will be mandatory. Unrestricted backpacks will be allowed . Please note that you will be allowed to accompany your child to their classroom for the first week, but we ask you remain OUTSIDE the classroom at all times.
I am honored to serve as principal of Anita E. Villarreal Elementary School. It is truly a privilege to be part of a school community where teachers and staff care so much about our students and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. ¡Es un placer darles la bienvenida de nuevo al ciclo escolar 2025-2026! ¡Me emociona tenerlos de vuelta para otro gran año en la Escuela Primaria Villarreal! En tan solo unos días, nuestras aulas y pasillos se llenarán de la energía y el entusiasmo de los estudiantes que aprenden. Nuestra misión es ayudar a cada niño a sentirse bienvenido, conectado y parte de nuestra increíble familia escolar. Además, nos esforzaremos por animar a cada estudiante a desarrollar sus habilidades académicas mediante instrucción, intervenciones y actividades extracurriculares.
Tengan en cuenta las siguientes fechas al planificar el regreso de su hijo a clases:
Jueves – 14 de agosto Entrega de útiles escolares
4:00 – 5:00 pm
Para reducir la ansiedad del primer día y minimizar la confusión sobre la ubicación de las aulas, organizaremos una breve entrega de útiles escolares el jueves 14 de agosto, de 16:00 a 17:00 h. Dado que los maestros no han terminado de preparar sus aulas, aún no las abriremos a las visitas. Los maestros recibirán los útiles en sus puertas y saludarán brevemente a los estudiantes.
Lunes – 18 de agosto Primer día de clases
Desayuno 7:45 – 8:00
Por mandato del distrito, el uso de uniforme será obligatorio. Se permitirá el uso de mochilas sin restricciones. Tenga en cuenta que podrá acompañar a su hijo/a a su aula durante la primera semana, pero le pedimos que permanezca FUERA del aula en todo momento.
Es un honor para mí ser directora de la Escuela Primaria Anita E. Villarreal. Es un verdadero privilegio formar parte de una comunidad escolar donde los maestros y el personal se preocupan tanto por nuestros estudiantes y se esfuerzan por construir relaciones positivas que fomenten su crecimiento académico y social. ¡Trabajemos juntos para marcar la diferencia en la vida de su hijo/a!
